It Takes a Village is a design adapted from cloth appliques made in India. I love the bright colors and the variety.

This clutch purse or wallet is 7 1/2" by 4 1/4". It closes with a metal latch that is easy to use. Inside it has 10 slots for credit cards or ID and 4 compartments for cash or papers, including one zippered compartment.

I begin by drawing the design on the leather, carve it, tool it to create a permanent three-dimensional impression, and then paint it. The paint is durable acrylic. It is finished with a protective sheen that can be wiped clean with a damp cloth
